Q: How are your bows made? Are they appropriate for my infant/toddler? A: All of our bows are hand sewed for durability; they do however contain small parts. Use with complete adult supervision for girls under age 3 (and pets) is recommended.
The bows (korker & boutiques styles) are attached to your choice of alligator clips, french clips, or "ouchless" elastic PonyOs at no extra charge. Waterfalls are only available on elastics. French clips are available in three sizes: little girl - fine hair (40mm), big girl (50mm) and adult (60mm). PonyOs are available in two sizes: little girl - fine hair, and adult.
If the bow will be used while playing a sport, cheerleading, etc, "StayPut" elastics are highly recomended. "StayPut" elastics are available at an additional $0.25 per bow, and are available in two sizes: little girl - fine hair and adult.
If you have a preference of right or left for individual bows, you must notify us of your preference when you place your order. A "right side" bow is made to be on her right. If you are standing in front of your daughter it will be on your left.
A: Absolutely! Most custom orders from in-stock ribbon can be ready for pick-up/delivery/shipping within 3-5 business days. If you are looking for a style/color of ribbon that we do not currently have in stock, we will gladly special order the materials from our supplier for your purchase. Please note that in this case; it could take us 3-4 weeks to fulfill your order depending on how quickly we can acquire the materials needed from our suppliers. If you need your purchase by a specific deadline (family pictures, birthday, Christmas, etc) please let us know. We will be as accommodating as physically possible!
A: Most of our items are loved by big & little girls alike! We have received many reports of teens/adults "borrowing" our custom hair accessories from thier little sister or niece!
Teens love our woven headbands, Itty Bitty Clippies & Boutique Bows for everyday use, and the korkers for that special team sport where that extra dose of "team spirit" is needed!
Any of our small bows or clippies made with alligator clips are very appropriate for infant hair. Latex free non-slip grip is available upon request. Soft knit stretchy headbands are available for infants with little to no hair so that they can wear our larger bows as well. As our items do contain small parts, use with complete adult supervision for children under age 3 is strongly recommended.
A: We are currently in the process of building our website and shoping cart. If you are unable to make your purchase via the shoping cart, please send us an
e-mail with the type of item(s) you would like along with the colors requested. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have.
For payment we accept payments online via PayPal (PayPal funds, or credit cards). If you would like to pay by check, please send us an
e-mail with your order. We will then create an invoice for you, and send it via e-mail. We require a non-refundable 50% minimum deposit before we begin work on any custom pieces. All orders will need to be paid in full before shipment occurs.
Once you have paid for your order, we are unable to cancel it, even if it has not shipped yet. Paying for your order means you have agreed to all custom designs, color choices, hardware choices, etc, as well as the pick-up/deliver/shipping terms.
A: Most custom orders made with in-stock ribbon can be available for pick-up/delivery/shippment within 3-5 business days. For large large orders ($50 or more), we will quote an estimated completion time upon
e-mail request.
We can guarantee Christmas orders (for in-stock ribbon) placed on or before December 10th, to be available for pick-up/delivered/mailed by December 20th. After December 10th, we might still be able to complete your order before Christmas, all you need to do is ask.
A: Every item found at the Bow Beauties online boutique is handmade, and we want you to be thrilled with your purchase. It is our policy to not resell items that have been returned, so for that reason we do not accept returns. All measurements of finished products are stated within the descriptions for your convenience (up to a 1/2" size difference per hair accessory, and 1" per tutu is allowed). However, if there is an error on our part, or an item is defective, please let us know. We will happily replace it for you at our expense.
Prior to ordering, if you are unsure of a color selection, we can send you swatches to help you make your selection. If you have a preference of right or left for individual bows, you must notify us of your preference when you place your order. A "right side" bow is made to be on her right. If you are standing in front of your daughter it will be on your left.
If you have questions regarding one of our items, please feel free to contact us before placing your order.
If you decide you would like to exchange bows within 14 days of your receipt, you will receive a 50% credit towards new bows because the bows returned cannot be re-sold. Shipping charges are not refundable. Bows must be returned in original packaging and packed nicely in the box. Bows returned in padded envelopes will not receive any credit towards new bows.
A: Bow Beauties offers a gift wrapping service with our products to benefit our favorite non-profit, "
A Butterfly's Touch." This service is by donation only. If you are not local to the Yelm, WA or Portland, OR areas, you will only be required to pay the added shipping cost for mailing a wrapped package. Although a $1-$5 donation per wrapped gift is suggested, the donation you give for the wrapped gift is up to you!
A: Team/school color fundraisers: select up to 4 items (all with the same color scheme) you would like to sell. Your organization will receive a donation per item sold ranging from $0.50 - $2.00 or $20% depending on the item. A sliding scale may be used, where the more items sold, the larger your profit will be. You will receive one set of items made with your chosen colors for display (to be returned after the fundraiser closes). A pick-up date will be scheduled for 4-6 weeks after the fundraiser closes.
Custom order fundraisers: select up to 4 items that you would like to sell. Your organization will receive $0.25 - $1.50 or 15% per item sold depending on the item. Bow Beauties will put together a custom swatch card with up to 30 different ribbons available for your fundraiser. You will receive one swatch card, and one set of items made, each with a different color combination (to be returned after the fundraiser closes). A pick-up date will be scheduled for 6 weeks after the fundraiser closes.
An order form (and scanned swatch card if applicable) custom made for your organization will be available as a .pdf document for ease in e-mailing or printing. Full payment for all items ordered will be due when the fundraiser closes. Personal checks, money orders & cash will be accepted. Orders can be submitted to Bow Beauties during the fundraiser, or at the closing date. We will begin construction of "early orders" as soon as payment is received, even if the fundraiser is not yet complete.
A: Please be assured that we respect your privacy as much as we respect our own. Any personal information we collect will be used only for business purposes within Bow Beauties. Your informaiton will never be traded or sold for any purpose, with out first asking your permission. We do have a monthly mailing list, that you can opt into or out of at any time.. Just say the word!

Q: What about photos of my children? We love to see photos of our creations in action. When you submit your photo(s) to us, it is assumed that we have permission to use your photo on our website, facebook fan page, or on any other advertisement. If you wish, you may opt-out of any or all of these possibilities by stating so in writing when you submit your photo(s) to us.
Photos submitted to & taken by Bow Beauties staff at events/photo shoots may be used in any of the above listed advertisments venues, with no compensation expected by the model, unless otherwise agreed upon via contract.
